The multi-stepped curved outline of the inner frame recalls arched openings and niches in Mediterranean palaces, while the corner S-scrolls with small leaf details continue the acanthus tradition that dates back to ancient Greek and Roman ornament. Along the border, vertical fluted pilaster bands and horizontal trims derive from classical column fluting, emphasizing architecture and vertical proportion. In each outer corner, a small square rosette finishes the frame and adds rhythmic detail, giving the whole composition a disciplined geometry enriched by delicate accents.
